Governor Kasich joined Fanatics COO Brent Trager and local officials yesterday in Frazeysburg, Ohio to promote a recent resurgence of job growth and development in the Muskingum County area. The sports merchandiser recently opened a distribution center adding new jobs in Frazeysburg. The distribution center also anticipates more hiring for the Christmas season. “Trager said the company, an online retailer of sports merchandise that distributes officially-licensed college and professional team sports merchandise across the country, chose Ohio and specifically the area of Coshocton, Licking and Muskingum counties because of its available workforce and work ethic.
“Why Frazeysburg? Because Ohio works for us. … And with the employees we’ve hired here, we’re quickly becoming the most efficient operation in the company,” Trager said. “This community has been a home run for us thus far.”
Jacoby said while the facility is strategically located near United Parcel Service and Fed-Ex hubs in the region, the area also provides the right workforce to meet its distribution needs.
“This area has seen a lot of changes economically and some very difficult times. But they are creating a lot of jobs here and growing really fast,” Jacoby said. “Fanatics is exactly the type of company we want to work with to bring jobs to this area, and we’ve got the reliable workforce that takes pride in what they do.”

Fanatics initially had committed to creating as many as 270 jobs and $6.7 million in payroll within three years based on a job tax credit extended by the state, and a total investment in the facility, jobs and equipment of more than $40 million.”
